Here is another painting I'm working on for my art show. I'm working hard to color them all and hopefully will have some finished paintings to share by the end of the week. I hope you enjoy this coloring page!

Another Fairy

I'd like to lie and say this is a completely new piece. I know that I put a version of this up before. This time I will finish the illustration. I added wings and a few details. And now it's finally available for coloring!

The Start of Something Spectacular

I am so, so, sorry that I have been neglecting my blog as of late. I have been spending oh so much time working on illustrations for my upcoming art display at VCON. I have several that I've made considerable progress on and this makes me very happy!

My scanner refuses to work without the replacement of a yellow ink cartridge. I believe I may give up on my Epson Stylus NX330. The good thing is I have taken some pictures of the artwork I've worked on lately and can share some progress photos with you over the next few weeks.

I'm setting this up as a colouring page because I've had trouble with some web sites taking my images and not giving me credit. This wont completely stop that behaviour, but it does discourage it a bit. And yes feel free to print and colour this. My illustration was uploaded via my iPhone so unfortunately the quality is less than it would be as a scan.

This is a black and white line drawing of a fairy garden.  Originally I wanted this to be a 5 x 7 piece. All of the fairies did fit in that space, but they were all too close together! I decided instead to space them out. I'm uncertain if I'm going to colour the background for this piece or leave it white.

Mermaid Blowing Bubbles

My fairy creature of the day is a mermaid I did in painter. Just a fun quick drawing. I don't know painter that well so I'm getting use to what it can handle. I hope you like my mermaid!

Fairy Kitty!

My first drawing tonight was a wash. It's a good thing, because here is a fairy kitty! Poor thing doesn't look too happy to be flying. 

Fairy Drawing: Mermaid and Dolphin Doodle

Just a quick five minute doodle... okay maybe it took me three minutes... or was that two? Point is that I didn't time myself on this doodle. I also did it right in permanent marker. No takesies backsies and lots of mistakes. I promise to spend at least twice as long on next week's drawing as I think I probably spent on this one.  

Quick Colour Fairy

My fairy today is just a quick colour fairy. This paper does not like watercolours so much. David was painting so I grabbed the closest paper to me. I think I might try coloured pencils next week.

Fairy... Dog Mothers?

Had a busy day today and almost didn't get around to doing a drawing today. Imagine missing my first official fairy drawing! This week I did a quick drawing for Ashley Howland's Dogs. She jokingly asked me to do the drawing. I'm deadly serious about drawing fairies so here are my Fairy Dog Mothers!

I Want to Draw You a Fairy!

May is quickly coming to an end. I have really loved doodling these last few weeks with Doodle Day. I don't want it to end (and I'm hoping it wont). I probably won't be sharing all of my doodles after the end of May, but I will likely be sharing my best doodles. 

Starting in June I want to start drawing more fairy creatures. I do want to say that I didn't draw a lot of fairies when I was young, so I may as well make up for it now! If there is a fairy you would like me to draw for you please let me know! This is a free thing, but please note that I won't be sending the results to you in the mail (unless you wish to purchase the drawing). These fairies will mostly be doodles, and may or may not be used in other illustrations.

Backgrounds will completely depend on how much time I have. Fire, ice, musical ect fairies can be requested. Don't like fairies? You are welcomed to ask me to draw any fairy creature from nyiads and dryads to mermaids and elves. Any requests given are requests and will be done as I can. I will not do a likeness of any person in these drawings (unless a commission is requested). I will put the person's name on my blog that requested said fairy drawing. Sound like fun?
